What You'll Do
As a Flick trainee technician, you’ll be trained to deliver quality pest control services to homes and businesses across your local area. You’ll work independently, solve real problems, use cutting edge technology, and build relationships with customers, all while earning money and gaining qualifications.
Your typical week might include:
- Conducting pest inspections and treatments at residential properties
- Installing and monitoring SMART digital pest control systems
- Providing expert advice to customers about pest prevention

You don’t need pest control experience, we’ll teach you everything.
What matters is:
- Currently enrolled in university (any degree)
- Reliable, responsible, and keen to learn
- Good communication skills and customer service mindset
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence, including P Plates
- Able to work independently once trained
- Physically fit for active outdoor work

This is flexible based on your availability. Most student technicians work 15-25 hours per week, but we can adjust around your timetable.
What if I need time off for exams?
We understand uni comes first. Let us know your exam schedule and we’ll make sure you have the time you need to study.
Do I need my own car?
No. Flick provides a company vehicle and all equipment you’ll need for the job.
What if I have no pest control experience?
That’s completely fine—most of our technicians start with zero experience. We provide comprehensive paid training.
Can I continue working during uni breaks?
Absolutely! Many students increase their hours during semester breaks to maximize their earnings.
