I don’t often leave reviews, but the level of professionalism, care, and expertise shown by Matt Beard from Flick Pest Control absolutely deserves recognition.We had a recurring issue with rodents in our roof cavity that had gone unresolved despite multiple attempts by other providers over the past year. Noise in the ceiling at night, droppings around the shed and chewed wiring. It was both distressing and frustrating. We were at the point of considering major (and expensive) roof work when we contacted Flick.From the moment Matt arrived, his approach was different. He conducted the most thorough inspection we’ve had, taking time to access the roof void, checking the perimeter of the property, and even pointing out areas where other pest techs had missed potential access points. His attention to detail was outstanding.But where Matt really impressed was in his ability to explain what was happening without the usual jargon or guesswork. He walked us through the rodent behaviour patterns, the points of ingress, and how environmental factors around our property were contributing to the problem. He then developed a tailored treatment plan that included baiting, exclusion work, and follow-up visits, all clearly documented and scheduled.Unlike other services we’d used, Matt didn’t just “put bait down and leave.” He sealed access points, repositioned external bait stations for optimal effectiveness, and gave us clear guidance on what to monitor. Within days, we noticed a difference. By the time of his second visit, activity had drastically dropped, and there’s now been no sign of rodent presence for weeks.He also went above and beyond by checking in between visits and even giving us advice on long-term prevention, including minor landscaping adjustments that would deter pests in future.Matt’s work has brought genuine peace of mind to our household.
