Flick Answers the Call During Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Flick transforms technology upgrade into community support initiative

This Domestic and Family Violence Awareness Month, we are demonstrating that corporate responsibility extends far beyond our business operations. We’re supporting DV Safe Phone to donate mobile devices to domestic violence survivors, turning our recent technology rollout into an opportunity to support those who need it most.

Following our mobile phone upgrade, we made the decision to donate all replaced mobile devices to DV Safe Phone, a vital organisation that provides safe communication tools to domestic violence victims. Rather than letting these devices sit unused, we recognised an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

“For someone escaping domestic violence, access to a safe mobile phone can be life changing. These devices provide essential connections to emergency services, safety planning tools, employment opportunities, and critical support networks that can mean the difference between safety and danger. Our initiative extends beyond just our device upgrade. We’ve invited our entire network of employees to participate by donating personal unused mobile devices, creating a company-wide effort to support the cause” said Natalie Matanovic, Director of People and Culture.

Making Technology Work for Good

Our partnership addresses a critical need in the community. DV Safe Phone has supported over 12,000 domestic violence victims since launching, providing not just phones but lifelines to safety and independence. During May’s Domestic and Family Violence Awareness Month, the organisation is calling on businesses and communities to “Answer the Call” and contribute to this essential service.

By participating in this initiative, we are demonstrating our values in action and supporting the communities we serve, this allows us to extend our commitment to protecting homes and families beyond pest control into genuine community safety.
