On September 4th 2020, Flick Anticimex cemented our position as Australia’s leading pest control company, with the acquisition of Optimum Pest Control (OPC) on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
Established up 100 years ago, Flick Anticimex now services over 1.2 million customers annually across Australia and New Zealand.
Flick has continued to innovate to stay at the forefront of the industry. The merger with OPC will considerably expand our customer base on the Gold Coast, backed by the deep expertise of the former owners.
Fusing Local Knowhow with a Global Perspective
Owned and run by the Jansen family for 15 years, OPC has built up strong relationships with residential and commercial properties in South East Queensland. Mike, Karen, Howard and Ryan Jansen have joined the Flick team as part of the merger.
“The relationships formed [by the Jansen’s] over many years have contributed to the success of Optimum Pest Control and we look forward to those continuing,” says Jussi Ylinen, CEO of Flick Anticimex
Flick’s experienced Gold Coast team will work with the Jansens to continue a tradition of outstanding customer service. Both firms have been built on the crucial values of exceptional delivery and friendly communication.
Leading-Edge Pest and Hygiene Services
While experiencing minimal disruption, existing clients of OPC will now have access to a wider array of services. Flick’s portfolio includes traditional residential and commercial pest control services, as well as SMART Pest Control; digitally-led commercial solutions which allow for large-scale remote monitoring and are non-toxic.
Flick Constant Home Protection offers affordable monthly subscription plans which have transformed the industry, allowing customers to protect their home all year-round for a low monthly fee.
We look forward to taking pest control on the Gold Coast to the next level.
