The disinfectant we use is proven to kill 99.9% of viruses and bacteria including Covid-19. For communities at higher risk from Covid-19 – such as older demographics – this is an incredibly essential service.

Flick was recently asked to disinfect the communal areas of Palm Lakes Resorts, whose facilities provide premium resort-style living for the over 55’s.

 

THE CHALLENGE

Palm Lakes Resorts asked us to help ensure not only the safety of residents but to give them peace of mind prior to the reopening of communal spaces within 12 of their resorts on the East Coast. The resorts span an area between Newcastle (NSW) and Hervey Bay (QLD).

During the lockdown period, social spaces were closed to residents to protect the whole community. These spaces included Lawn Bowls Greens, Gyms, Dining Halls, Bars, Cinemas, Men’s Sheds, Courtesy Buses, Libraries and Pools.

Our challenge was to comprehensively disinfect these shared facilities prior to reopening after the coronavirus lockdown, including difficult-to-reach places.

 

THE SOLUTION

With 12 sites and over 12,000m2 of space to disinfect, we utilised multiple technicians from five Flick branches up and down the East Coast.

Flick uses a disinfectant service which kills 99.9% of bacteria and viruses, neutralising Covid-19*. The mist is non-toxic, environmentally-friendly and binds to all surfaces, including hard-to-reach places. Our technicians did an initial site assessment of the centralised facilities. They then went into overdrive to complete the task efficiently. 10 of the 12 sites had been assessed within a 3-day timeframe; this also involved technicians getting Covid tests prior to ensure the safety of residents.

The team then began the high-grade disinfectant fogging, spraying the mist over all surfaces, binding it to both high-touch areas and more inaccessible places like ventilation grills.

 

THE RESULTS

Within a fortnight of their booking, all 12 sites had been successfully disinfected, neutralising them from any potential Covid-19 transmission.
